Position Summary The FP&A Manager serves as a trusted advisor to executive leadership and operational teams, leading the company's budgeting, forecasting, financial modeling, reporting, and business analytics functions. This individual will partner closely with leaders throughout the organization to identify opportunities, evaluate risks, improve performance, and support strategic growth initiatives.

What You'll Do Financial Planning & Forecasting Lead the annual budgeting process across all business units and departments. Develop monthly, quarterly, and annual forecasts for revenue, labor, equipment utilization, project profitability, and cash flow.
Maintain and enhance long-range financial models supporting strategic growth initiatives. Perform scenario planning and sensitivity analyses to evaluate opportunities and business risks. Create financial frameworks that help leadership make confident, data-driven decisions.
Financial Reporting & Business Insights Prepare executive-level financial reporting packages and presentations. Develop and maintain key performance indicators (KPIs), scorecards, and operational dashboards. Analyze financial and operational performance against budgets, forecasts, and historical trends.
Identify drivers behind business performance and communicate findings in a clear, actionable manner. Provide recommendations that improve profitability, efficiency, and resource allocation. Strategic Business Partnership Collaborate closely with Operations, Sales, Project Management, Accounting, and Executive Leadership.
Serve as a financial consultant to leaders throughout the organization. Support pricing strategy development and margin improvement initiatives. Conduct customer profitability, project profitability, and business expansion analyses.
Evaluate capital investments, equipment purchases, and strategic initiatives through ROI analysis. Cash Flow & Working Capital Management Develop and maintain short-term and long-term cash flow forecasts. Monitor working capital performance and identify opportunities to improve cash conversion.
Analyze the financial impact of project billing, collections, and revenue recognition activities. Partner with operational teams to strengthen cash flow performance. Data Analytics & Process Improvement Build and enhance financial reporting automation and dashboard capabilities.
Improve forecasting accuracy through advanced data analysis and operational metrics. Partner with Accounting and IT teams to optimize ERP reporting capabilities. Develop scalable reporting processes that improve visibility and decision-making.
Champion continuous improvement and data integrity initiatives. Leadership & Strategic Initiatives Support the CFO and executive leadership team with strategic planning activities. Lead financial analysis for mergers, acquisitions, major projects, and growth initiatives when applicable.
Participate in leadership meetings and provide financial guidance on key decisions. Mentor finance and accounting team members while fostering collaboration and professional growth. Help build financial processes and systems that support long-term organizational success.
Qualifications Required Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or related field. 5-8+ years of progressive experience in FP&A, corporate finance, strategic finance, financial modeling, or business analytics. Strong understanding of: Budgeting and forecasting Financial modeling Variance analysis Profitability analysis Financial reporting Cash flow management Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including financial modeling and data analysis.
Experience with ERP systems such as NetSuite, SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, or similar platforms. Strong communication and presentation skills. Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities effectively.
Preferred MBA, CPA, CFA, or other advanced financial certification. Experience supporting construction, industrial services, energy, manufacturing, or oilfield service organizations. Experience with Power BI, Tableau, Looker, or similar business intelligence platforms.
