Accounting Assistant (Detail-Driven, High-Accuracy Role)

We are looking for a highly detail-oriented Accounting Assistant who takes ownership of their work and catches mistakes before they become problems.

This is not a passive data-entry role — this is a precision role.

What You’ll Be Responsible For

• Enter and reconcile vendor invoices, customer payments, and credit card transactions
• Manage accounts payable and receivable with a high level of accuracy
• Identify, investigate, and resolve discrepancies (not just flag them)
• Process returns, refunds, and shipping claims (UPS/FedEx)
• Communicate professionally with vendors and customers regarding billing issues

What Success Looks Like (First 90 Days)

• Transactions entered with near-zero errors
• Discrepancies caught before they impact customers or reporting
• Organized systems that allow fast retrieval of any document
• Reduced need for oversight from management

What We’re Looking For

• Minimum 1 year of accounting, bookkeeping, or AP/AR experience
• Strong Excel and computer skills
• Experience with Sage 50 or similar accounting software (preferred)
• Exceptional attention to detail (this will be tested)
• Strong sense of ownership — you fix problems, not pass them along
• Reliable, punctual, and consistent
