Why This Role Exists

HG Medical continues to expand its orthopedic implant and surgical instrument production to support growing demand in the medical device industry. This CNC Turning Operator role is critical to maintaining precision, quality, and consistency in the manufacturing of life-impacting medical components.

You’ll be machining tight-tolerance parts where accuracy truly matters — components that directly support patient outcomes.

---

The Work You’ll Be Doing

In this role, you will:

  • Set up and operate CNC lathe machines producing precision medical components
  • Load, run, and adjust CNC programs as required
  • Monitor cutting conditions, offsets, and tooling to maintain dimensional accuracy
  • Perform in-process and final inspections using precision measuring tools
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings and GD&T
  • Collaborate with engineering and quality teams to resolve issues and improve processes
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area

This is hands-on machining — not button-pushing.

---

Machines, Controls & Inspection

You’ll work with:

  • Machines: CNC Turning Centers
  • Controls: CNC lathe controls (experience preferred, training available)
  • Inspection Tools: Calipers, micrometers, gauges, and other precision measuring equipment

---

What We’re Looking For

Required

  • 1–2 years of CNC lathe or machining experience
  • Ability to read blueprints and understand GD&T
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
  • Comfortable working in a regulated manufacturing environment

Preferred (Not Required)

  • Medical device manufacturing experience
  • CNC programming or advanced setup exposure
  • Experience troubleshooting machining issues

---

Materials You’ll Work With

  • Stainless Steel
  • Titanium
  • Medical-grade alloys and materials

---

Why Machinists Like Working Here

Machinists choose HG Medical because:

  • Clean, professional, and regulated shop environment
  • Work that directly impacts patient health
  • Multiple shift options with built-in premiums
  • Stable schedules and long-term opportunity
  • Room to grow into advanced machining and technical roles

---

Pay, Benefits & Schedule

  • $21 – $25 per hour, DOE
  • Shift premiums for nights and weekends
  • Full benefits package
  • Training and long-term career development
  • Consistent workload in a growing medical device operation
