Key Responsibilities

• Establish and cultivate a trusting rapport with patients through empathetic communication and active listening.
• Diagnose and treat a range of mental health disorders affecting individuals and families, utilizing tailored therapeutic approaches.
• Create and implement individualized treatment plans based on the unique needs and circumstances of each patient.
• Conduct regular therapy sessions, both individually and in couples or family settings, to foster open dialogue and facilitate healing.
• Continuously assess patient progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary to optimize therapeutic outcomes.
• Document clinical findings and treatment progress in compliance with organizational and regulatory standards.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to coordinate holistic care and refer clients to specialists when additional support is needed.

Patient Population / Client Focus

In this role, you will work closely with a diverse clientele, including individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, trauma, and adjustment issues. Our patient population encompasses families grappling with communication problems and life transitions, allowing you to facilitate meaningful therapeutic processes that promote lasting change and emotional resilience.

Qualifications

• A valid license as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in the state of New York.
• A Master's or doctoral degree in Marriage and Family Therapy, Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or a related field.

Preferred Experience

• Relevant experience and specialized training focused on addiction counseling and evidence-based practices for treating substance abuse and co-occurring disorders.
• Demonstrated therapeutic and counseling skills with a proven ability to motivate and engage clients in their recovery journeys.
• Strong competencies in communication and teamwork within a multidisciplinary healthcare setting.

Compensation and Benefits

This position offers a competitive salary range of USD 70,000 – 90,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications. In addition to a base salary, Guiding Hands Healthcare Corporation provides a comprehensive benefits package, including:
