This role is responsible for building, maintaining, and optimizing integrations across the Atlassian ecosystem — including Jira, Jira Service Management, and related add-ons. The ideal candidate will have strong back-end, front-end, and cloud development experience, with a focus on API-driven integrations, automation, and scalable workflow solutions.

This position is fully onsite and requires hands-on development, Jira configuration expertise, and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams to support enterprise reporting, operational workflows, and governance standards.
Contract | Full-Time

Key Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain integrations between Jira, Atlassian tools, and external enterprise systems using REST APIs.

  • Manage APIs and middleware services to automate manual processes and support data synchronization.

  • Configure Jira projects, including workflows, issue types, screens, permissions, and field structures.

  • Design and implement Jira automations (native and scripted) to streamline workflows and reduce manual effort.

  • Create and maintain Rovo agents and leverage AI capabilities to enhance search, insights, and workflow execution.

  • Manage intake processes for new fields, enhancements, and project requests while ensuring governance and standardization.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless data flow and alignment with reporting and operational needs.

  • Improve user experience through thoughtful Jira configurations, layouts, and UI enhancements.

  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to integrations, automations, and Jira platform functionality.

  • Write scalable, clean, maintainable, and efficient code.

  • Stay current on Atlassian platform updates, AI capabilities, and integration best practices.

  • Strong proficiency in back-end technologies such as Python and Node.js.

  • Hands-on experience with API development, REST integrations, and webhook-based architectures.

  • Practical experience configuring Jira projects, workflows, fields, automations, and permissions.

  • Experience integrating Atlassian tools and marketplace add-ons.

  • Experience with cloud platforms and APIs (Google Cloud preferred, but similar platforms acceptable).

  • Familiarity with AI-driven capabilities and automation frameworks (Rovo or similar).

  • Knowledge of database systems (SQL and/or NoSQL).

  • Experience with version control systems (Git).

  • Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to troubleshoot complex issues.

  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
