Job Title:        Heavy Construction Equipment Sales                                     

Job Function & Purpose:  Bring in Business. Fulfill customer needs by selling and renting products offered by our Dealership at a competitive price and high degree of satisfaction. To represent and promote the Sales, Service, Parts, and Rental Department operations and store network in a positive manner, which ensures customer confidence, repeat business, and maximum return for the Dealership.

• Working Conditions:  The sales position requires varying hours of work including hours before and after standard business hours; office and outside work; vehicle driving; operating equipment in various conditions; field calls with difficult climate/location conditions.

Responsibility:  As a sales associate for Garton Tractor, you are responsible to create, maintain, support our client base, and generate sales/rental revenues/profit margins as defined by management.

Principal & Essential Duties:  The principal & essential duties of the Salesperson consist of, but are not limited to:

•  Selling – The Company’s products and services. Set acceptable annual sales volume and profit margin goals and achieve them! Profitably rent approved tractors and Ag construction equipment through Garton Tractor and Golden State Rentals per the Rental Rate Chart Guideline. Promptly sell trade-ins. Concentrate on selling on a first in, first out basis! Be a “Suggestive Seller”; sell attachments/accessories.  Develop your skills with self-training programs.

Standards and Measurement of Performance:   You will meet or exceed expectations when the following have been successfully met: 

1. Accomplish set annual sales and profit margin goals
2. Satisfy customers
3. Product knowledge, including completion of required manufacturer training
4. Attend meetings and dedicated events
5. Work with and promote the Parts and Service Departments
6. Fulfillment of the described duties and Company policies
7. Follow all safety protocols.

COMMISSION COMPENSATION PLAN – FLSA Standard is Exempt
