Sr Market Director POSITION SUMMARY:

Responsible for directing and managing the selling and marketplace execution to retail customers within a defined market geography.

Essential Functions Statement(s)
  • Executes selling/delivery functions for a defined geography as defined by G&J's AOP strategy
  • Responsible for marketplace retail execution of selling initiatives and programs
  • Supports a company-wide collaborative approach to business by providing recommendations on sales, marketing and retail execution initiatives that will impact the company’s success
  • Effectively communicates the organization’s initiatives to assure optimal performance
  • Analyzes marketplace competition and performance, reports findings
  • Coordinates sales distribution by establishing and assigning sales territories, quotas and goals, advises both internal and external customers concerning sales and merchandising techniques
  • Analyzes and controls department expenditures to conform to budgetary requirements. Establishes and authorizes budget expenditures to provide the necessary merchandising tools and equipment.
  • Prepares and analyzes sales reports including, but not limited to sales volume, package mix and potential sales. Allocates resources to maximizes results.
  • Monitors and assesses competitive activity, market execution, and customer satisfaction
  • Guides and directs departmental accountability through the Talent Management process including talent acquisition, on-boarding, and development of succession planning to maximize human capital and business performance
  • Maintains confidentiality of financial information, promotions, pricing, CDA contracts, profit and loss reports, customer information, employee information (e.g., discipline, wage information) and other sensitive and confidential information
  • Ensures that company policies, standards and procedures are met, followed and maintained in accordance with established company policy (e.g., OSHA and safety compliance, Federal/State/Local laws)
  • Works assigned schedule, exhibits regular and predictable attendance and works outside of normal schedule as required to meet workload demands. Performs other related duties as required

SKILLS & ABILITIES: Education:

Associate degree in Sales, Marketing, Business, or related field (two-year college or technical school) or equivalent work experience.

Experience:

7-10 years of proven progressive, strategic experience and success in a sales position with responsibility for management of key or large customer base. 3-5 years of previous CPG (beverages preferred) supervisory experience.

Certificates and Licenses:

Ability to obtain and meet industry licensing requirements as needed.
