Your Role: Equipment Maintenance Technician II
As an Equipment Maintenance Technician II, you will play a critical role in maintaining and repairing field irrigation systems and farm equipment to ensure smooth and efficient agricultural operations. This position is primarily field-based and requires working outdoors in various weather conditions.
What You’ll Do
- Inspect, repair, and maintain irrigation pipes, valves, fittings, and water lines
- Troubleshoot and repair farm equipment (mechanical, hydraulic, and basic electrical systems)
- Perform preventative maintenance to minimize downtime
- Operate equipment such as tractors, skid steers, excavators, and telehandlers
- Transport tools and materials to job sites using company vehicles
- Maintain clean, organized, and safe workspaces, tools, and equipment
- Document maintenance activities and report major issues to leadership
- Follow all safety policies and procedures
- Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors
- Support additional maintenance tasks as needed
What You Need to Succeed
- 1–2 years of experience in equipment or irrigation maintenance preferred
- Experience with agricultural equipment or mechanical systems is a plus
- Basic knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Ability to operate or willingness to learn heavy equipment
Education Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required
- Technical training or certifications in maintenance or mechanics preferred
Work Environment
- Outdoor work in varying weather conditions (heat, rain, cold)
- Exposure to dirt, dust, grease, and loud environments
- Frequent walking on uneven terrain
- Physical requirements include lifting up to 50 lbs, bending, kneeling, climbing, and standing for extended periods
- Occasional extended hours depending on business needs
