Your Role: Equipment Maintenance Technician II
As an Equipment Maintenance Technician II, you will play a critical role in maintaining and repairing field irrigation systems and farm equipment to ensure smooth and efficient agricultural operations. This position is primarily field-based and requires working outdoors in various weather conditions.
What You’ll Do
  • Inspect, repair, and maintain irrigation pipes, valves, fittings, and water lines
  • Troubleshoot and repair farm equipment (mechanical, hydraulic, and basic electrical systems)
  • Perform preventative maintenance to minimize downtime
  • Operate equipment such as tractors, skid steers, excavators, and telehandlers
  • Transport tools and materials to job sites using company vehicles
  • Maintain clean, organized, and safe workspaces, tools, and equipment
  • Document maintenance activities and report major issues to leadership
  • Follow all safety policies and procedures
  • Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors
  • Support additional maintenance tasks as needed
What You Need to Succeed
  • 1–2 years of experience in equipment or irrigation maintenance preferred
  • Experience with agricultural equipment or mechanical systems is a plus
  • Basic knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to operate or willingness to learn heavy equipment
Education Requirements
  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Technical training or certifications in maintenance or mechanics preferred
Work Environment
  • Outdoor work in varying weather conditions (heat, rain, cold)
  • Exposure to dirt, dust, grease, and loud environments
  • Frequent walking on uneven terrain
  • Physical requirements include lifting up to 50 lbs, bending, kneeling, climbing, and standing for extended periods
  • Occasional extended hours depending on business needs
