Forging Paths Counseling is seeking a dedicated and passionate Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) to join our remote team. Work Environment

This role is structured around a remote work setting, allowing flexibility while maintaining a strong connection to students in the school environment. You’ll be telecommuting but will have opportunities for in-person meetings and collaborative sessions with school staff. This hybrid approach ensures you can effectively monitor student progress and engage with educational staff to foster comprehensive support systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct individual and group counseling sessions utilizing evidence-based therapeutic methods to address a variety of mental health concerns.
• Develop comprehensive treatment plans through thorough client assessments, taking into account unique needs such as developmental disorders or trauma experiences.
• Utilize crisis intervention techniques to provide immediate support for students experiencing mental health emergencies and ensure their safety and stabilization.
• Facilitate family therapy sessions, guiding parents and guardians through challenges and empowering them to develop strategies to support their children.
• Engage in research initiatives aimed at improving therapy strategies, contributing to the organization’s mission of excellence in mental health care.
• Maintain meticulous records of therapy sessions and treatment outcomes, adhering to legal and ethical standards of confidentiality and documentation.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will work primarily with a diverse population of students ranging from elementary to high school, addressing a multitude of issues including anxiety, depression, learning disabilities, and behavioral problems. In addition to individual counseling, you’ll have the opportunity to engage families in therapeutic discussions, enhancing support systems around our young clients.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Social Work (MSW) from an accredited institution.
• Holds an active state license as a Clinical Social Worker (LCSW).
• A minimum of 3 years of experience in a clinical setting, preferably with direct client interaction.
• Proficient in various therapeutic modalities including individual, group, and family therapy.
• Strong analytical skills to develop tailored treatment plans based on patient assessments and history.
• Exceptional listening and communication skills to effectively counsel and guide patients and their families.

Preferred Experience

• Experience working within a school system or with school-aged children is highly preferred.
• Familiarity with tools and platforms for telehealth counseling to support remote engagements.
• Knowledge of community resources and support systems to enable holistic client care.

Compensation and Benefits

Forging Paths Counseling offers a competitive salary of $90,000 to $100,000 annually, commensurate with experience. Additional benefits include:
