Job description

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Responsibilities:
Update existing equipment on the production floor to current lock out tag out (LOTO) requirements. This will involve
Interacting directly with machine engineering and maintenance groups.
Conduct Safety & Environmental audits.
(Training will be provided for this task.)
Coordinate safety activities with production departments.
Conduct Process Safety Audits to identify hazards and improve work environment. Communicate results of audit with management team.
(Training will be provided for this task.)
Conduct and document job hazard assessments.
(Training will be provided.)
Attend pre-production trials to complete safety checks on machinery.
(Training will be provided for this task.)
Communicate safety topics to employees such as SOS meeting.
Investigate safety accidents and implement countermeasures.
(Training will be provided for this task.)
Perform basic First Aid to injured team members.
(Training will be provided for this task.)
Track Safety Notification Program and work with management team to close open items.
Limited travel to TGMS & TGNAI will be required.
Other miscellaneous tasks as required.

This job has limited indirect supervisory responsibilities.
QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Associates degree, related training, or hands on manufacturing experience.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, work instructions, and procedures. Ability to write emails and simple reports. Ability to conduct accident interviews and speak in front of fellow employees.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to measure distances, add, subtract, multiply and divide.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to identify problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
None.
COMPUTER SKILLS
Basic computer skills for Microsoft Outlook, Word, and extensive use of Microsoft Excel.
