Description GENERAL DEFINITION OF WORK: Under general supervision, supports the engineering team by providing technical assistance, assisting with project activities, and performing various technical and administrative tasks.
Prepare engineering drawings, conduct research and review for construction and engineering design or external project submittal for review. Examples of Duties ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: Assist engineers in the design and development of engineering projects.
Assist with preparation of technical documentation, including reports, specifications and manuals. Conducts base level research and gathers data to support engineering analyses and project decisions. Process and review engineering permits, designs and calculations.
Participate in project meetings, taking notes and tracking action items. Communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders regarding project updates. Scan engineering files and perform other administrative tasks.
OTHER JOB FUNCTIONS: 1.Perform related tasks as required. Qualifications KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Ability to read and interpret plans and specifications Ability to use computer-aided design (CAD) software Ability to communicate effectively Excellent written and verbal communication skills Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Ability to work in a team environment Requirements EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: High school diploma with additional college coursework in civil engineering or a related field, or any combination of education, training, and experience providing the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to perform essential job functions. WORKING CONDITIONS: Work takes place in a clean, pleasant, and comfortable office setting
