CONSTRUCTION SUPERINTENDENT – BALTIMORE / HOWARD COUNTY, MD

Old Town Construction is seeking an experienced Construction Superintendent to join our team and oversee projects throughout the Baltimore and Howard County, Maryland market.

We are looking for a hands-on field leader who understands how to manage an active construction site, coordinate subcontractors, maintain schedules, solve field issues, and keep projects moving forward.

Our ideal candidate has experience managing ground-up or large-scale construction projects, with multifamily construction experience strongly preferred.

Salary Range: $65,000–$85,000 annually, based on experience and qualifications.

What We’re Looking For

• Minimum 5 years of experience as a Construction Superintendent or in a comparable construction field-management role
• Multifamily construction experience preferred
• Strong knowledge of construction sequencing, means and methods, and trade coordination
• Ability to manage multiple subcontractors and maintain an organized, productive jobsite
• Proven ability to maintain and manage project schedules
• Ability to anticipate scheduling conflicts and identify potential delays before they affect the project
• Strong communication and leadership skills
• Ability to read and interpret plans, specifications, and construction documents
• Experience coordinating inspections and working with local jurisdictions
• Strong attention to quality control, safety, and jobsite documentation

Key Responsibilities

• Manage daily field operations and overall jobsite activity
• Coordinate subcontractors, vendors, deliveries, inspections, and trade sequencing
• Maintain the construction schedule and communicate upcoming activities to the project team
• Lead subcontractor coordination and regular jobsite meetings
• Monitor quality of work and compliance with plans and specifications
• Document daily progress, manpower, deliveries, inspections, delays, and significant field conditions
• Maintain photographs and documentation of work in progress
• Identify potential conflicts and work with the Project Manager and design team to develop timely solutions
• Coordinate with local inspectors and authorities having jurisdiction
• Maintain a safe, professional, clean, and well-organized jobsite
• Assist with punch list, project closeout, and turnover activities
