About This Job

We are seeking an experienced Community Association (VCAM) Onsite Manager who is a licensed CAM professional to support the achievement of the organization's goals. This position requires you to be a liaison between First Chair and community associations while cultivating strong relationships. A day in the life with your team might include everything from Board of Director communications, working with the First Chair Community Association Management accounting team, overseeing our First Chair Community Association Management maintenance and pool teams, checking the work of housekeepers, and working with contractors on capital projects.

Compensation + Schedule

  • $85,000 - $100,000 annually less payroll deductions and all required withholdings
  • Schedule:  Monday - Friday with occasional nights and weekends
  • Weekends and holidays may be required

Essential Job Functions

  • Oversee daily operations and workflow management of all common and limited common areas in each assigned community to optimize team productivity and meet departmental objectives. Identify areas for improvement, and implement process enhancements to drive efficiency and quality outcomes.
  • Lead and develop a team of employees through effective coaching, mentoring, and performance management. Conduct regular one-on-one meetings and annual evaluations to support professional growth and ensure alignment with company goals.
  • Oversee implementation of Board policy and directives.
  • Act as primary Board liaison between the associations' Board of Directors and First Chair Community Association Management.
  • Assist with administration of the associations' Board of Directors.
  • Coordinate and attend all meetings involving the associations' Board of Directors.
  • Schedule and coordinate annual and regular meetings of all Boards and membership of each association. 
  • Be responsible for all correspondence between First Chair Community Association Management and associations' Board of Directors, as well as owners and tenants.
  • Assist with the production of Board budgets, meeting agendas, architectural reviews, reserve studies, and all other Board responsibilities.
  • Oversee the collection of dues, assessments, and fines.
  • Oversee collection of delinquent accounts pursuant to association delinquency policy.
  • Ensure that the periodic owner and association statements are produced accurately and timely. 
  • Ensure Boards are aware of legal actions involving the Associations
  • Work as a liaison between the Board and legal counsel, as well as the Board and the Board Advisory Committees. 
  • Attend Board meetings per the management agreement and community events as needed.
  • Prepare Board packages according to the established time frame.
  • Work with the Board on strategic initiatives, policy governance, and association projects for each community.
  • Coordinate with Field Operations Team members to ensure that the Board's operations directives are communicated and executed upon.
  • Act as a liaison between the association and Field Operations Team.
  • Ensure compliance with all laws and conformity to established regulations.
  • Conduct site visits.
  • Provide Board orientation and training.
  • Mediate disputes and conflicts of members within the association.
  • Oversee general maintenance and upkeep of common areas in a community.
  • Add new targeted associations to the portfolio through business development activities.
  • Assist in the growth of the program and its offerings to our associations.
  • Foster a collaborative work environment that promotes open communication, innovation, and employee engagement. Address team conflicts constructively and in a timely manner as they arise. 
  • Assist the recruiting process with interviewing, selection and onboarding new team members while ensuring compliance with company policies and employment regulations.
  • Other duties as assigned because every day is different in hospitality!

Skills + Qualifications

  • Experience working in hotel, hospitality, vacation or similar industry is highly preferred.
  • 5+ years of community association management experience.
  • Professional credentials preferred: CMCA, AMS, or PCAM.
  • A thorough understanding of Colorado community association laws and regulations. 
  • Pool/Spa Operator Certification (CPO) preferred. Ability to obtain certification within 30 days of hire required.
  • A developed leadership capability.
  • Demonstrated financial acumen. 
  • Prior experience in supervisory or management level position in a similar industry.
  • Tech-savvy with experience using various digital systems and applications and comfortable using mobile apps, tablets, and various software platforms.
  • This role involves frequent travel between worksites, so reliable personal transportation is essential.
  • Dependable and prepared. Showing up on time and ready to go is key to creating great stays for our guests and peace of mind for our homeowners.
  • Must be dependable, self-motivated, and able to work independently while contributing positively to a collaborative team environment.
  • Comfortable talking to people—online or in person—and being able to share information in a way that's clear, thoughtful, and represents the company in a positive way always.

Workplace Environment + Physical Requirements

  • Work may take place indoors or outdoors, in a variety of settings including private homes, resorts, offices, and laundry facilities — often in varying weather conditions.
  • We're in hospitality and our schedules can change based on guest and homeowner needs. Shifts may include early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays. We require flexibility to support this.
  • Reliable transportation required.
  • Regular travel within the locally assigned market and / or region.
  • Ability to move freely (balancing, climbing, crawling, driving, squatting, standing, stooping, walking, bending, pushing, pulling, reaching, and repetitive hand/finger motions) and lift up to a maximum of fifty (50) pounds without assistance.
