The Role:

As the Specialty Coffee Shop Manager, you will play a crucial role in maintaining our high standards of service and quality, fostering a positive work environment, and driving our coffee shop's growth and success.

The coffee shop is open Monday-Friday from 7a - 5p, Saturday from 8a - 5p, and Sunday from 9a - 4p.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee daily operations of the coffee shop to ensure smooth running and high standards of service and quality, dividing your time between managerial duties and barista duties.
• Hire, train and develop a team of baristas and shift leads while fostering a positive, upbeat work environment.
• Implement strategies to drive sales, optimize operational efficiency, and enhance customer satisfaction.
• Manage inventory, including ordering supplies and managing relationships with vendors.
• Ensure the coffee shop's cleanliness and safety standards are met or exceeded.
• Handle some administrative tasks, such as scheduling and budgeting.
• Develop and maintain relationships with customers and the local community.
• Stay informed about the latest trends in the coffee industry and incorporate innovative ideas to enhance the customer experience.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a coffee shop manager or in a similar managerial role in the hospitality industry.
• Enjoys coffee with a deep understanding of coffee preparation and brewing methods, or a willingness to learn.
• Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and manage a team.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills, with a results-driven approach.
• Proficient in using computers, mobile devices, apps & Google suite.
• Exceptional customer service skills, with the ability to create a welcoming and positive experience for customers.
• Open availability to work 40+ hours per week, including weekends. Available to work most weekends. Typical schedule is Thursday through Monday
• Food Safety Certification or the ability to obtain certification upon hiring.
• Ability to stand or be on your feet for the entire shift, ensuring a dynamic and engaging presence on the shop floor.
