Job description
We are a small CPA office seeking an in-charge accountant/bookkeeper/tax preparer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be proficient in Microsoft Office (especially Excel), QuickBooks Online, QuickBooks Desktop, tax preparation, payroll knowledge and a strong understanding of bookkeeping and accounting principles. An associate’s degree in business or related work experience required. Position is in-person, full-time during tax season, and part-time (28 hours) the rest of the year.
Responsibilities include:
Interact professionally with clients;
Maintain a set of books for a client from beginning of the year through the tax return;
Prepare individual and business tax returns;
Prepare monthly payroll tax and sales tax payment forms;
Other general office duties.
