About the Role:
Fork & Knife LLC in Flemington, NJ is looking for a talented and motivated Food Prep team member to join our kitchen crew! This is a great opportunity to sharpen your culinary skills in a fast-paced, hands-on environment where quality and teamwork are at the heart of everything we do.
Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and portion ingredients according to recipes and kitchen standards
  • Wash, peel, chop, and slice fruits, vegetables, and proteins as directed
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary workstation at all times
  • Assist line cooks and kitchen staff during meal service and high-volume periods
  • Properly store and label food items following food safety guidelines
  • Monitor and rotate stock to minimize waste and ensure freshness
  • Follow all health, safety, and sanitation regulations
Requirements:
  • Prior experience in a kitchen, food prep, or restaurant environment preferred
  • Basic knife skills and familiarity with kitchen equipment
  • Knowledge of food safety and proper food handling procedures
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, team-oriented kitchen
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs
  • Reliable, punctual, and a positive team-first attitude
