Role Description The Hotel Operations Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Chicago, IL, responsible for overseeing daily hotel operations and ensuring a smooth, efficient guest experience. This role manages front-of-house and back-of-house activities, including staffing schedules, department coordination, and adherence to brand standards. The Hotel Operations Manager monitors occupancy, revenue, and cost controls, supports budgeting and forecasting, and implements procedures to optimize performance. Daily responsibilities include supervising team members, resolving guest concerns, coaching staff on service standards, and collaborating with corporate leadership on operational initiatives and improvement projects.


Qualifications

  • Candidates should possess strong Operations Management skills, including workflow coordination, process improvement, and compliance with hotel brand standards.
  • Candidates should possess skills in Customer Satisfaction and Customer Service, with experience handling guest inquiries, resolving issues, and maintaining high service scores.
  • Candidates should possess excellent Communication skills, including clear verbal and written communication and effective collaboration with cross-functional teams.
  • Candidates should possess Training skills, including onboarding team members, providing ongoing coaching, and supporting performance development.
  • Experience in hotel or hospitality management, including supervising staff and managing shifts, is highly beneficial.
  • Ability to analyze operational metrics, manage budgets, and support revenue and cost-control strategies is preferred.
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work on-site in a fast-paced environment are required.
  • An associate or bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Business, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience, is advantageous.
