Build to Spec. Weld with Pride.
Picture this: You’re handed a blueprint for a 6-inch Schedule 80 run with mixed positions and a 2-inch tie-in that requires a full-penetration TIG weld. You confirm joint prep, set parameters, and choose the right process—MIG, TIG, or FCAW—to deliver repeatable, code-grade results in our shop environment.
The Role
- Apply MIG, TIG, and Flux-Cored Arc Welding (FCAW) on pipe systems in-shop
- Complete both rolled (pinwheel) and positional welds on 6" pipe from Sch. 40 through Sch. 160
- Execute full-penetration TIG welds on 2" pipe with exceptional quality
- Interpret welding symbols, blueprints, and WPS/specifications
- Ensure all welds conform to applicable codes and internal quality standards
- Maintain welding equipment and sustain a safe, orderly work area
- Follow established safety protocols at all times
Your Background
- Minimum 1 year of shop-based welding experience
- Proficient across MIG, TIG, and Fluxcore processes
- Experienced in both pinwheel (rolled) and positional techniques on pipe
- Capable of welding 6" pipe (Schedule 40–160) and 2" pipe via TIG with full penetration
- Thorough understanding of welding methods, materials, and safety best practices
- Able to read drawings and execute per weld procedures
