Wood Crating & Pallet Assembly Technician

Location: Amarillo, TX
Starting Pay: $18.00 per hour

Imagine a shift where your careful craftsmanship keeps valuable products moving safely to customers. You scan a set of work instructions, lay out materials, and build sturdy crates and pallets with hand and power tools. You package components so they’ll arrive undamaged, and you double-check every detail before it leaves the floor. That’s the impact you’ll make in this role.

What a day could look like

• Review assembly directions, blueprints, and schematics to plan your builds.
• Fabricate and assemble wooden crates and pallets using hand tools and power tools.
• Prepare and package components to protect them in transit.
• Produce crates and pallets for skids, carts, and various finished goods.
• Repair or adjust crates and pallets when specifications change.
• Inspect work to confirm accuracy and quality; flag any issues immediately.
• Pull, stage, and organize parts for outgoing shipments.
• Operate forklifts and related warehouse equipment (certification required).
• Support inventory counts and maintain an orderly, safe workspace.
• Partner with teammates to hit production goals while following all safety policies.
• Tackle additional tasks as assigned to keep operations moving.

What you bring

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in assembly or packaging preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and written instructions.
• Comfortable with hand and power tools.
• Strong attention to detail, quality, and safety.
• Team-first mindset and clear communication.

Physical demands

• Use of hands to handle tools and materials; frequent talking and listening.
• Regular standing, walking, and reaching.
• Occasional lifting or moving up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to safely operate a forklift and maintain required certifications.
• Ability to read, write, and speak English.
