Description
Summary:
The primary function of this position is to rebuild transfer cases.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Receives direction from team lead on priority of work.
- Evaluate the core to determine appropriate critical components or any components that do not match the quality standard.ย
- Add all components that were selected to be replaced to the Assembly Order (AO) document.
- Ensure all inventoried components are listed on the AO document.ย
- Follow build sheets or standard work instructions (as available) to complete all rebuild jobs.
- Ensure the finished unit is in good working order and cosmetically pleasing
- Clean out scrap bin and empty trash at work station as needed.
- Inform maintenance when machinery breakdown occurs.ย ย
- Maintain a clean and safe workspace.
- Will conduct these responsibilities in a professional and timely manner.
- Work closely with the Pre-Assembly Department to ensure quality and efficient builds
- Other tasks as directed.
Requirements
Qualifications:
- Basic automotive or mechanical skills
- Familiarity and/or use of power tools
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Ability to cross-train in other areas of the shop
