The LCSW will provide comprehensive counseling services while collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to foster client empowerment and holistic recovery.

About the Organization

Everyone's Counseling Center is dedicated to serving the community through a commitment to advocacy, education, and direct service provision. Our focus is on creating lasting change, promoting social justice, and empowering individuals, families, and marginalized groups. We specialize in a wide range of services, including counseling, case management, educational programs, and community initiatives, all aimed at addressing significant social issues. Through collaboration with diverse stakeholders and research advocacy, we work tirelessly to develop programs that tackle the root causes of social challenges.

Work Environment

This role is remote, offering flexibility while still engaging directly with clients via virtual appointments and occasional in-person meetings at our detox center in Bethel Park. The position requires adaptability, as you'll participate in team meetings through video conferencing and engage in outreach efforts as needed, including occasional evening and weekend hours for special events and programs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments of clients' social, emotional, and psychological needs to develop tailored support plans.
  • Offer one-on-one and group counseling sessions, employing evidence-based therapeutic approaches that facilitate recovery and empowerment.
  • Engage clients in goal-setting, crafting individualized service plans that chart clear pathways to their desired outcomes.
  • Advocate vigorously for clients' rights, ensuring they have access to necessary resources and community services.
  • Collaborate with community organizations, government agencies, and volunteers to enhance program effectiveness and outreach.
  • Contribute to program development by evaluating programmatic success and assisting in grant reporting efforts.
  • Participate in ongoing training and attend community outreach activities to bolster service delivery and professional growth.
Patient Population / Client Focus

The LCSW will primarily work with individuals and families dealing with substance use disorders, mental health challenges, and related issues. Our clients often face a range of adversities, including trauma, economic hardships, and systemic barriers that require a client-centered and trauma-informed approach. Your empathetic support and services will be central to their recovery journey.

Qualifications
  • A Master's degree in Social Work from an accredited program is essential for this role.
  • Must hold active state licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW).
  • Deep understanding of social justice issues, advocacy, and trauma-informed care is crucial.
  • Excellent communication abilities, strong organizational skills, and a high level of empathy are required to foster client relationships.
Preferred Experience
  • Previous experience in a nonprofit organization, particularly within mental health or substance abuse settings, is preferred but not required.
  • Familiarity with community resources, social service systems, and client advocacy will be advantageous.
  • Practical knowledge of program development and evaluation processes is beneficial.
Compensation and Benefits

The salary for this position ranges from USD 75,000 to 100,000 annually, commensurate with experience, plus a generous sign-on bonus. Benefits include comprehensive health insurance (medical, dental, and vision), retirement plans with employer contributions, and ample paid time off, including vacation and personal days. In addition, we provide opportunities for ongoing professional development and growth within the nonprofit sector.

Your role as a Clinical Social Worker at Everyone's Counseling Center offers ample opportunities for career advancement. As the organization grows, so too will the potential pathways for professional progression, including leadership roles in program management, policy advocacy, or clinical supervision. We are committed to fostering an environment of continuous learning and professional development.
