Job Summary

EventRent is seeking a dependable Equipment Operator / Driver to support tent installations and event setup. This role involves driving a medium-duty truck, delivering concrete ballast blocks, operating specialized equipment, and learning setup and troubleshooting of event power and climate systems.

This is a hands-on position ideal for someone who enjoys equipment operation, working outdoors, and being part of a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Safely operate an F600 truck to deliver and retrieve concrete ballast blocks and event equipment
• Assist with tent installations, including placement of concrete blocks
• Operate an Avant Tent Ox with various attachments
• Operate additional equipment such as scissor lifts, articulated lifts, and related machinery
• Learn setup, operation, and basic troubleshooting of:
• • Heaters
  • Air conditioning units
  • Generators
  • Power distribution systems
• Perform pre-trip and equipment inspections
• Follow all safety procedures and job-site protocols
• Work collaboratively with installation crews and supervisors

Qualifications

• Good driving record (clean MVR required)
• Experience operating construction, agricultural, or industrial equipment
• Strong understanding of safe equipment operation
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
• Ability to lift, move, and handle heavy equipment as required
• Reliable, punctual, and team-oriented

Preferred Qualifications

• CDL (not required but a plus)
• Experience with event rentals, construction, or rigging
• Mechanical aptitude or troubleshooting experience
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus
