About the Role

To meet increased pupil needs in September 2026, Esland's Grantham school is seeking a positive, proactive SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team.
As a Teaching Assistant, you'll work closely with class teachers to support students aged 8-18 with SEMH needs. You'll help deliver a fun, functional curriculum tailored to individual learning needs, often working one-to-one or in small groups. • Enrolment into the Esland education pension scheme, which is double matched up to 20%, meaning at total pension contribution of up to 30%
  • Company sick pay
  • Life insurance to the value of 4 times your basic salary
  • Comprehensive, paid induction training and ongoing training within the role
  • Fantastic opportunities for career development, we promoted over 100 colleagues last year
  • Cycle to work scheme
  • Access to our Employee Assistance Programme (EAP) including our Online GP 24/7, 365 days a year
  • Access to our Green Hybrid and EV car scheme
  • A 500 bonus via our 'Refer a Friend' scheme

  • Experience supporting children with SEND/SEMH needs
  • Experience with EBSA (Emotional Based School Avoidance)
  • Understanding of behaviour management and trauma-informed practices
  • Inclusive, empathetic, and solution-focused mindset
  • Ability to work as part of a team and build strong relationships
  • Basic knowledge of child development, safeguarding, and the National Curriculum
  • Confidence in using ICT to support learning
