The Transportation and Capacity Analyst I/II/III/IV responsibilities include but are not limited to:Nominations, confirmations, daily scheduling activities, imbalance management, and gas control communications for EQT Commodities.
Essential Duties:
  • Manage interstate/intrastate transportation assets, optimizing firm transportation (FT) portfolio scheduling and supporting EQT Commodities account management.
  • Coordinate and schedule natural gas nominations, purchases, and sales across multiple pipeline systems to ensure timely, penalty-free flow.
  • Optimize capacity utilization, manage capacity releases, and mitigate curtailments and imbalances while ensuring compliance with contractual and regulatory obligations.
  • Execute and manage wheeling transactions across interconnected pipeline systems to optimize flow paths and maximize asset value.
  • Schedule storage assets, including injections, withdrawals, and inventory optimization, to support seasonal and daily supply-demand balancing.
  • Execute and manage Park and Loan (PAL) services, tracking balances and leveraging opportunities to enhance operational flexibility and commercial value.
  • Integrate supply, market conditions, and service contract data to develop and execute optimal nomination and transportation strategies.
  • Monitor pipeline electronic bulletin boards (EBBs), operational postings, downstream requirements, production constraints, and industry developments to maximize the value of EQT production, midstream, and downstream assets.
  • Track daily meter telemetry and system demand fluctuations; proactively adjust nominations and trading positions to manage production variability and operational risks.
  • Collaborate with traders, operations teams, third-party customers, and pipeline representatives to resolve issues and maintain reliable system operations.
  • Reconcile pipeline activity and statements with internal systems; support accounting functions including monthly closeout, settlement processes, and tariff rate management.
  • Troubleshoot daily and monthly issues within the Endur ETRM system and ensure data accuracy across systems.
  • Communicate clear and concise summaries of market conditions, operational risks, and strategic insights to internal stakeholders and leadership.
  • Leverage extensive knowledge of interstate pipeline grids, storage services, and midstream systems to support regional and organizational strategy development.
  • Participate in rotational on-call coverage, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as required.

Required Experience and Skills:
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, Economics or Engineering.
  • 1+ years of Transportation Services/Scheduling experience.
  • Effective computer skills including Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel and Word.
  • Analytical thinking, troubleshooting, and logical testing skills are essential.
  • As nominations are scheduled daily, this position requires working some evening/weekend periods and working an on-call rotation.
  • Occasional travel is required.

Preferred Experience and Skills:
  • 3+ years of Transportation Services/Scheduling experience.
  • 1-2 years of SCADA experience is highly preferred.
  • Experience using Endur highly preferred.

Selected incumbent will be placed into the position that best suits their abilities and experience level.
