Remote (Canada) Hybrid Available - Kitchener, ON

Reports to: Senior Manager, Business Development


Salary range: $50,000 - $58,000 (CAD) base plus variable

About the Role

Encircle is looking for a driven and curious Business Development Representative (BDR) to join our growing sales team. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for potential customers, responsible for identifying and qualifying new business opportunities that fuel Encircle's growth. You will work closely with Account Executives and Marketing to build pipeline and bring Encircle's field documentation platform to restoration companies across North America.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone early in their sales career who is eager to develop their skills in a fast-paced, SaaS environment within the property restoration industry.


What You'll Be Doing

  • Prospect and identify new business opportunities through outbound outreach - including cold calls, emails, and LinkedIn - targeting restoration contractors and property claims professionals.
  • Qualify inbound leads and respond promptly to marketing-generated leads including webinars and tradeshows
  • Conduct discovery conversations to understand prospect pain points, workflows, and readiness to buy
  • Set qualified meetings and product demos for Account Executives.
  • Maintain accurate records of all outreach activity, lead status, and pipeline updates in Salesforce CRM.
  • Collaborate with Marketing on campaigns, messaging, and follow-up sequences for targeted accounts.
  • Develop a deep understanding of Encircle's platform, the restoration industry, and the competitive landscape.
  • Meet or exceed monthly targets for qualified meetings booked and won business.


What You'll Bring

  • 1-2 years of experience in a sales, business development, or customer-facing role (SaaS experience is a plus).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills - you can craft a compelling message and hold a confident conversation
  • Overachieving self-starter with strong organizational skills and the ability to manage a high volume of outreach.
  • You don't accept the status-quo and are always seeking creative ways to improve and expand on existing ideas
  • Genuine curiosity about the restoration or insurance industry is a strong asset.
  • Resilient, coachable, and motivated by personal goals and team success.

Nice to Have:

  • Familiarity with the property restoration, insurance, or field services industry.
  • Experience with tools like Gong, Salesforce, Nooks, or other outreach platforms.
  • Previous experience in a high-growth SaaS startup environment.
