Position Overview

Elite Manufacturing Technologies is seeking an experienced Press Operator to join our prototype and short-run production team. The ideal candidate will have experience operating stamping presses and working with sheet metal components in a job-shop or prototype manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Operate stamping presses for prototype and short-run production.
• Set up presses, dies, tooling, and related equipment.
• Run a variety of sheet metal materials, thicknesses, and part sizes.
• Read and interpret blueprints and engineering drawings.
• Perform first-piece and in-process inspections to verify part quality.
• Make adjustments to press setups and tooling as required.
• Identify and troubleshoot quality and production issues.
• Maintain accurate production and inspection records.
• Safely handle dies, tooling, raw materials, and finished components.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
• Work closely with engineering, quality, and production personnel to meet customer requirements and delivery schedules.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years of stamping press operating experience preferred , we are willing to train.
• Experience in prototype, job-shop, or short-run production is highly preferred.
• Experience setting up and operating mechanical or hydraulic stamping presses.
• Ability to read and understand blueprints and basic GD&T.
• Knowledge of sheet metal forming, stamping, and tooling.
• Ability to use basic inspection equipment such as calipers and micrometers.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Ability to work independently and adapt to changing production requirements.
• Reliable attendance and strong work ethic.
