Job description

Role Description:

This is a full-time role for a Lead Toddler Teacher. You will be responsible for implementing age-appropriate lesson plans, fostering a nurturing and stimulating classroom environment, and teaching fundamental skills to young children. The role also involves communicating effectively with parents and caregivers and collaborating with colleagues to provide optimal learning and growth opportunities for toddlers.

  • Full-time, Hourly
  • 40 hours per week, four 10-hour days (one day off during the week), 7:30am to 5:30pm

Education/Certification:

  • Lead Teacher/ECT qualification under Colorado Department of Early Childhood requirements (required)
  • Current CPR/First Aid certification (preferred)
  • High school diploma or higher
  • 1+ Early Childhood Education experience (lead or co-lead experience preferred)

Skills And Physical Requirements

  • Active engagement throughout the day including standing, sitting on the floor, bending, and lifting up to ~60 lbs.
  • Ability to perform the essential functions of the position with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • Ability to fulfill cognitive and interpersonal aspects of a classroom leadership including speaking, hearing, reading, writing, focusing attention, and building relationships

Edgewater Early Learning Center is located in Edgewater, Colorado. We are a small, family-oriented childcare center that has been serving our community for almost two decades. We serve families with children age 6-weeks to five years old. Our team is passionate about providing high-quality care, meaningful relationships, and developmentally appropriate learning experiences for every child.
With three classrooms and a close-knit team of eight staff members, we pride ourselves on maintaining a supportive, personal environment where staff feel valued. Our play-based program focuses on nurturing children while fostering a positive workplace culture, and many of our staff members have been part of our team for years.
