Job description

Are you ready to take the next step in your sales career and lead a high‑performing team? As an Outside Sales Supervisor with EST, you’ll guide and support a group of Outside Sales Representatives responsible for driving profitable growth across the U.S. You’ll blend hands‑on sales activity with team leadership—coaching reps, refining processes, and ensuring every customer interaction reflects EST’s mission, vision, and values.

In this role, you’ll represent EST at customer sites, trade shows, and industry events while helping your team develop strong relationships, pursue new business, and deliver exceptional service. If you’re energized by developing people, strengthening customer partnerships, and shaping sales strategy, this is the opportunity to make a meaningful impact.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DETAILS:

Lead and Support the Outside Sales Team

  • Supervise, mentor, train, and evaluate Outside Sales Representatives.
  • Review weekly productivity, pipeline status, and performance metrics; conduct bi‑monthly performance reviews.
  • Provide guidance on deal strategy, contract path selection, scope development, and pricing.
  • Partner with inside sales and adjacent team leads to align priorities and ensure smooth collaboration.
  • Enforce compliance with company policies, timekeeping, and performance standards.
  • Conduct team meetings to communicate updates, training, and process improvements.

Drive Sales Growth

  • Perform all core outside sales activities, including customer needs assessments, quoting, relationship management, and CRM utilization.
  • Conduct technical site visits to evaluate customer applications and identify opportunities.
  • Cultivate strong relationships with key industry partners, vendors, and suppliers.
  • Pursue new prospects and business development opportunities across assigned regions.
  • Attend trade shows and networking events (in‑person and online) to promote EST products and services.

Operational Excellence

  • Monitor CRM accuracy, project information, pricing, and scope of work quality across the team.
  • Analyze each team member’s book of business and provide direction for customer engagement, vendor coordination, and pipeline throughput.
  • Collaborate with the Sales Manager to identify product and service growth opportunities.
  • Maintain and responsibly manage assigned company property (vehicle, computer, etc.).
  • Travel extensively throughout the U.S. to support customers, team members, and business development initiatives.

Requirements
  • 2–4 years of successful direct sales experience, preferably in industrial or government sales environments.

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred; in lieu of degree, 5+ years of related experience or equivalent combination.

  • Proven ability to exceed quotas and manage the full sales cycle from lead generation to close.

  • 2–4 years of experience working with government contracts.

  • Strong knowledge of mechanical, plumbing, electrical, or electronic systems is a plus.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and CRM systems (ZOHO preferred).

  • Excellent communication, customer orientation, and relationship‑building skills.

  • Highly organized, self‑motivated, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.

  • Ability to travel extensively throughout the U.S.; valid driver’s license and clean driving record required.

  • Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Passport, military base passes, and other access credentials.
