The Diesel Mechanic is responsible for servicing and maintaining heavy-duty trucks, construction equipment, and fleet vehicles with a focus on ensuring peak performance and safety. Operating primarily on a day shift as an individual contributor, the mechanic applies expertise in diagnostics, repair, and routine maintenance without the requirement for travel.

Responsibilities

• Perform engine repair and routine maintenance on diesel-powered equipment
• Conduct diagnostics and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues
• Maintain and repair hydraulic, fuel, electrical, and brake systems
• Execute welding and fabrication tasks as needed
• Comply with safety protocols and ensure safety standards are met
• Replace worn or damaged parts to maintain equipment reliability

Preferred Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in diesel mechanics
• Proficiency in diesel engine repair and hydraulic systems
• Skilled in electrical diagnostics and brake system maintenance
• Experience with welding and fuel injection systems
• Strong understanding of safety protocols in mechanical work
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and time management skills
