Food safety starts with cleanliness. As a Sanitation Line Tech, you are the hands-on expert who keeps our production environment clean, safe, and audit-ready every single shift. You execute critical sanitation protocols on our juice and supplement lines, operate CIP systems, perform environmental testing, and communicate proactively with the Sanitation Lead and Quality team to ensure nothing leaves our facility that doesn't meet Dose standards.

This is a technical, hands-on role focused on precision sanitation execution. You'll manage CIP cleaning cycles, perform ATP and swab testing, complete sanitation documentation, troubleshoot equipment issues, and work across shifts to keep our facility compliant and production-ready. Your attention to detail and commitment to food safety protocols directly protect our customers and our brand.

What You'll Do

CIP Systems & Equipment Cleaning

• Operate and monitor CIP (Clean-in-Place) systems on pasteurizers, storage tanks, and piping networks; verify chemical concentrations, temperatures, contact times, and cycle completion against validated parameters
• Perform manual sanitation on non-CIP equipment (fillers, capping equipment, packaging, hard-to-reach surfaces); ensure thorough acid and alkaline wash cycles to remove sticky fruit sugars and mineral scales
• Execute allergen-specific changeover cleanings when transitioning between products; verify complete removal of prior product traces and document all changeover steps
• Identify and report equipment issues, clogs, or CIP circuit problems to the Sanitation Lead and Maintenance; escalate production blockers immediately

Documentation & Compliance

• Complete all sanitation documentation accurately and on time—CIP cycle sheets, changeover checklists, and pre-op sign-offs
• Verify sanitation SOP compliance; flag any deviations or missed steps; communicate issues to the Sanitation Lead before production begins
• Maintain sanitation equipment and supplies—monitor chemical levels, order replacement supplies, and ensure all tools and PPE are available and functional
• Support wastewater monitoring and facility discharge compliance; ensure sanitation runoff is properly treated before disposal

Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Partner with Quality Assurance on pre-op inspections and ATP testing protocol; work together on holds or testing failures
• Communicate with Production teams about sanitation schedules, expected downtime, and production readiness timelines
• Follow EHS chemical safety protocols; use proper PPE when handling caustic and acidic cleaners; report safety concerns immediately
• Support audit readiness—maintain clean records, ensure documentation is legible and complete, and assist during FDA, SQF, or customer audits

What You'll Bring

• 1–3+ years of sanitation or cleaning experience in a food, beverage, or manufacturing environment; juice, dairy, or high-acid processing experience preferred
• Working knowledge of sanitation chemistry, CIP systems, and basic understanding of how chemical concentration, temperature, and contact time affect cleaning effectiveness
• Familiarity with GMP requirements, HACCP principles, and FDA food safety regulations, including 21 CFR Part 120 (Juice HACCP)
• Hands-on experience with ATP testing equipment, environmental monitoring, and pre-op sanitation verification
• Excellent attention to detail—you catch missed spots, inconsistent procedures, and potential contamination risks
• Ability to read and follow sanitation SOPs precisely; escalate deviations or concerns rather than improvise
• Comfort working across shifts, including early mornings, late nights, weekends, and holidays as production schedules require
• Clear communication skills—able to document findings, report issues to the Sanitation Lead and Quality, and ask clarifying questions
• Willingness to take ownership of quality and food safety—you understand that sanitation is not a task but a responsibility to our customers
• Proficiency with basic computer tools for data entry and record documentation; experience with QMS systems a plus
• Physical ability to stand for extended periods, work in temperature-variable environments, and lift/move equipment and supplies
• PCQI certification or SQF Practitioner certification a plus
• Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred
