Human Resources Coordinator

Intellectual & Developmental Disabilities (IDD) Services

Diversity is seeking a highly organized, compassionate, and motivated Human Resources Coordinator to support our growing team of professionals serving individuals with Intellectual & Developmental Disabilities (IDD). This full-time opportunity is in the Chesterfield/Richmond area.


What You'll Do

Coordinate hiring, onboarding, and orientation for new employees

Assist with recruitment for Direct Support Professionals (DSPs), Nurses, and Supervisors

Maintain employee records and HR compliance documentation

Track training, certifications, and background checks

Support employee engagement and retention initiatives

Targeted recruitment, screen and schedule interviews and organize career fairs

Help ensure compliance with Virginia DBHDS and Medicaid staffing requirements

Manage HR communication and employee support

Collaborate with leadership to build a positive workplace culture


Preferred Qualifications

2-5 years of experience in Human Resources, Healthcare, Social Services, or IDD services preferred

Strong organizational and communication skills (bilingual proficiency preferred).

Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment

Experience with targeted recruiting and onboarding, in a residential setting preferred

Professional, dependable, and team-oriented

Proficiency with Microsoft Office and digital HR systems

Knowledge of DBHDS or Medicaid waiver services is a plus
