Summary of Position

As a Regional Sales Engineer for Poultry at D amp;F, you will play a key role in driving growth across a designated multi-state territory—North Carolina, Virginia, West Virginia, Pennsylvania, and Maryland. This is a full-time, relationship-driven role focused on providing plants with trusted expertise in processing systems, engineering solutions, installation services, and parts. You’ll manage a combination of established accounts and high-potential new prospects, helping maintain a strong industry presence while expanding D amp;F’s footprint in an essential region of U.S. food production. With a competitive base salary and uncapped commission potential, this position offers both stability and significant financial growth for someone willing to put in the work and deliver “Whatever it Takes” for their customers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Market and sell equipment, installation services, and parts within the food processing industry
  • Develop, grow, and maintain customer relationships to support sales
  • Serve as the main point of contact for all project stages
  • Submit accurate and timely quote requests to support efficient processing
  • Prepare weekly call reports, travel schedules, upcoming work summaries, and expense reports
  • Provide backup and support for fellow regional sales engineers when needed
  • Travel regularly (including overnight) to meet with customers throughout your territory
  • Represent D amp;F with professionalism and integrity in all client interactions

Required Skills amp; Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required
  • 2–3 years of sales experience; food processing industry experience a plus
  • Strong phone skills and professional etiquette
  • Commitment to maintaining strong customer relationships
  • Excellent organization, prioritization, and attention to detail
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Working knowledge of AutoCAD or similar software
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality regarding pricing and processes
  • Availability to travel frequently and work weekends as required
