Job description

DFW Concrete Pros is seeking a dependable and organized Fleet & Yard Logistics Coordinator to support daily field operations. This role is responsible for operating company trucks and trailers to transport materials, equipment, and supplies between vendors, job sites, and our yard. The ideal candidate will ensure crews have the tools and materials needed to stay productive while maintaining our equipment, organizing inventory, and managing yard operations.

This position plays a critical role in keeping projects running efficiently by serving as the link between the office, suppliers, yard, and field teams.

Key Responsibilities

Transportation & Deliveries

  • Operate company trucks and trailers safely and professionally.
  • Pick up and deliver materials from suppliers, vendors, and distribution centers.
  • Transport equipment, tools, and supplies between company yard and job sites.
  • Coordinate deliveries based on project schedules and field team needs.
  • Load, secure, transport, and unload materials and equipment safely.
  • Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.

Equipment Management

  • Maintain company equipment in clean and operational condition.
  • Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance.
  • Track maintenance schedules and coordinate repairs when needed.
  • Ensure equipment is properly stored and protected when not in use.
  • Monitor fuel, fluids, tires, and general equipment condition.

Yard Operations

  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe yard environment.
  • Organize tools, materials, forms, and equipment for efficient access.
  • Receive and verify incoming deliveries.
  • Stage materials and equipment for upcoming projects.
  • Ensure proper storage of materials to minimize waste and damage.

Inventory Control

  • Track inventory levels of tools, materials, and consumables.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records.
  • Report low-stock items and coordinate replenishment with management.
  • Conduct periodic inventory counts and audits.
  • Assist in implementing inventory management systems and procedures.

Team Support

  • Respond to material and equipment requests from field crews.
  • Assist with jobsite setup and breakdown when needed.
  • Support project managers and superintendents with logistics planning.
  • Help ensure crews have the necessary resources to maintain productivity.

Qualifications

Required

  • Valid driver's license with clean driving record.
  • Experience operating trucks and trailers.
  • Ability to safely tow and maneuver trailers.
  • Basic mechanical aptitude and equipment maintenance knowledge.
  • Ability to lift 50+ pounds regularly.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Reliable attendance and punctuality.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Preferred

  • Experience in construction, concrete, or related trades.
  • Experience operating forklifts, skid steers, or other construction equipment.
  • Familiarity with inventory management systems.
  • CDL license (preferred but not required).
  • Knowledge of DOT and trailer safety regulations.

Physical Requirements

  • Frequently lift, carry, push, and pull materials up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
  • Ability to climb, bend, kneel, and stand for extended periods.
  • Ability to safely operate trucks, trailers, and equipment.

Company Description

We are a full service concrete contractor. Our projects range from Data Centers, to airports, city streets, retail properties, commercial construction, tilt panel construction, substations, and much more! Our wide variety of services has allowed us to establish relationships with several large GCs who continue to choose to work with us. We do big projects, but our small team and work environment is far from the typical corporate style setting.
