This role requires a strong understanding of CPT mission objectives, core functions, and operational outcomes. The Cybersecurity Engineer will help translate mission needs into technical requirements, support planning and coordination, and contribute to improving mission execution, sensing, and defensive posture-without necessarily serving as the primary operator executing hunt/clear actions.
Core Responsibilities (Mission Support & Enablement):

โ€ข Support CPT-aligned efforts across Hunt, Clear, Enable Hardening, and Assess
โ€ข Assist with mission planning, prioritization, and operational alignment to objectives
โ€ข Support development and improvement of processes, playbooks, SOPs, and reporting formats
โ€ข Coordinate technical inputs across stakeholders (mission teams, engineers, system owners, leadership)
โ€ข Provide clear documentation and briefings translating cyber activity into risk, impact, and recommended actions
Required Technical Understanding (Working Knowledge):
โ€ข CPT Core Functions: Hunt, Clear, Enable Hardening, Assess
โ€ข CPT Capabilities: Discovery & Counter-Infiltration, Cyber Threat Emulation, Threat Mitigation
โ€ข Network Sensing: sensor placement concepts, telemetry use for detection/response, and sensing gap impacts
Required Qualifications:
โ€ข Active TS/SCI with CI Polygraph (REQUIRED)
โ€ข Experience supporting cyber operations, DCO environments, or CPT-aligned missions
โ€ข Strong understanding of adversary behavior and defensive cyber operations concepts
โ€ข Strong written and verbal communication skills (documentation, reporting, briefings)
Preferred Qualifications:
โ€ข Prior military CPT / DCO experience (operator or mission support)
โ€ข Cyber strategy experience (planning, mission alignment, leadership briefs)
โ€ข Familiarity with MITRE ATT&CK and adversary emulation concepts
โ€ข Certifications preferred: Security+, CySA+, CASP+, GCIH, GCIA, GNFA, GPEN, CISSP
