Customer Service Rep/Cashier

Job Description

General Collision Center is a busy and well-established auto body repair facility seeking a dependable and customer-focused CSR/Cashier to join our team. This position plays a vital role in customer satisfaction, front-office operations, and communication with insurance partners. The ideal candidate is professional, organized, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, customer focused, insurance-driven environment.

Responsibilities
  • Greet customers in person and by phone in a friendly, professional manner

  • Provide excellent customer service throughout the repair and vehicle pickup process

  • Process customer payments accurately (cash, credit/debit, insurance co-pays, deductibles)

  • Prepare, review, and close repair invoices in coordination with insurance approvals

  • Communicate professionally with insurance adjusters and carriers regarding payment status, supplements, and customer accounts

  • Assist customers with insurance-related questions and explain basic repair and billing processes

  • Schedule vehicle drop-offs and pick-ups and assist with basic appointment coordination

  • Communicate with estimators, technicians, and office staff regarding repair status and insurer requirements

  • Maintain a clean, organized front desk and waiting area

  • Answer customer and insurance-related inquiries promptly and accurately

Qualifications
  • Previous customer service or cashier experience preferred

  • Basic computer and point-of-sale (POS) skills

  • Experience working with insurance companies a plus

  • Experience with CCC ONE and ROME is a plus, but not required

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

  • Attention to detail and accuracy with payments, paperwork, and insurance documentation

  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and stay organized

  • Professional appearance and reliable attendance

  • Auto body or automotive office experience is a plus, but not required

Work Schedule
  • Monday–Friday: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM

  • Saturday–Sunday: Closed
