Role Description The Catering Sales Specialist is a full-time, on-site role based in American Fork, UT. This position is responsible for generating and managing catering sales, including responding to inquiries, qualifying leads, preparing proposals, and securing bookings for events of varying sizes. Day-to-day responsibilities include consulting with clients on event needs, creating tailored catering packages, coordinating details with operations and culinary teams, and maintaining accurate records in sales systems. The role also involves building long-term client relationships, following up on leads, attending on-site tastings or venue meetings, and ensuring smooth communication from initial contact through post-event review. The Catering Sales Specialist supports overall revenue growth and contributes to the guest experience by aligning sales commitments with execution capabilities.

Qualifications

  • Catering Sales and Sales skills to prospect, qualify, and close catering business effectively.
  • Customer Service and Customer Satisfaction skills to manage client expectations and maintain strong relationships.
  • Food & Beverage knowledge to design appropriate menus, understand service styles, and communicate confidently with culinary teams.
  • Experience with event or hospitality sales, including proposal creation, contract review, and pipeline management.
  • Strong organizational and time-management abilities to handle multiple inquiries, deadlines, and event timelines.
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills, with comfort presenting options and negotiating terms.
  • Ability to work on-site, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and occasionally support client meetings or tastings outside standard hours.
  • Basic proficiency with CRM tools or sales tracking software; prior catering or hospitality industry experience is preferred
