Job description

The Financial Aid Associate at Crestpoint University plays a pivotal role within a dedicated financial aid team, ensuring accurate processing of student aid disbursements and compliance with financial aid regulations. This position involves meticulous calculation of aid payments, eligibility assessment, and direct support for students navigating their financial aid options. Reporting to the Financial Aid Director, the associate contributes to maintaining a warm and professional office environment that values equity, inclusion, and ethical practices.

Responsibilities

  • Calculate student aid disbursements, stipends, and payments accurately
  • Perform Return to Title IV (R2T4) fund calculations as required
  • Determine student eligibility for aid disbursements and request necessary funding
  • Assist students with financial aid inquiries via phone, email, and chat
  • Manage financial reporting and data related to aid distributions
  • Ensure compliance monitoring with relevant financial aid policies and regulations
  • Review documentation to validate financial aid eligibility and resolve discrepancies
  • Maintain organized records and confidential student information

Preferred Qualifications

  • Strong financial analysis skills
  • Effective communication abilities to clearly explain complex financial information
  • Customer service orientation with commitment to equity and inclusion
  • High attention to detail and excellent organizational skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and student information or financial aid systems
  • Prior experience in financial aid, student services, or related administrative roles
  • Associate or bachelor’s degree
