CARPENTER'S ASSISTANT
CRATERS & FREIGHTERS

(www.cratersandfreighters.com), The nation's leader in crating, packaging and shipping is looking to add to our team. We build custom wooden crates for industrial machinery, computer & medical equipment, art work and so much more. With your driving experience you will pickup and deliver items when required. Most of your day will be in our shop building crates, pallets and packing items. This is a physical job requiring you to lift. Basic woodworking skills are required.

HOURS:

7:30a-4:30p, Mon-Thu, 7:30-2pm Fri

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Daily pickups & deliveries (may only be 1-2 hours a day, sometimes more-sometimes less).
• Package and crate fragile and/or heavy, high-value items
• Work individually and as a team member to assemble and build crates.
• Maintain a professional image
• When not driving, you will be in our warehouse building crates, pallets and packing items.
• This is a physical job requiring you to lift lumber (35-50 lbs.) throughout the day.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Experience operating a 26' (non-CDL) box truck.
• MUST HAVE VALID DOT Medical Examiner's Certificate
• Pass pre-employment drug test and background check
• Self-motivated and positive attitude
• Solid basic math skills
• Ablity to read a tape measure accurately.
• Attention to detail.
• Must have general woodworking skills-we will train you to build crates
• Competent in spoken and written English
