Work Environment

This full-time position requires onsite work at our bustling hospital in Tacoma, WA. You will be part of a dynamic and supportive team that values each member’s contributions. Our facility is designed to encourage teamwork and communication, ensuring the highest standard of patient care. The work hours for this position are Monday through Thursday, from 9 AM to 7 PM, allowing for a balanced work-life experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform thorough patient assessments, including taking detailed medical histories and conducting comprehensive physical exams.
• Collaborate with physicians to diagnose and treat both acute and chronic illnesses, taking an active role in patient management.
• Order, interpret, and discuss diagnostic tests, including laboratory results and imaging studies, to formulate effective treatment plans.
• Develop and manage individualized treatment plans, which may include prescribing medications and coordinating care with other specialists.
• Assist in minor procedures and provide surgical support when necessary, enhancing patient comfort and care delivery.
• Educate patients about preventive care measures and wellness strategies, fostering empowered and informed patient engagement.
• Ensure the accurate and timely maintenance of medical records using our Electronic Health Record (EHR) system, promoting organization and data accuracy.
• Engage with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare providers, including physicians and nurses, to optimize patient care pathways and outcomes.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited Physician Assistant program with a Master's degree in a related field.
• Current licensure to practice as a Physician Assistant in the state of Washington.

• Strong proficiency in utilizing electronic medical records (EMR) systems, along with excellent organizational and communication skills.

Preferred Experience

• A minimum of two years of experience as a Physician Assistant in a hospital or clinical setting.
• Board Certification as a Physician Assistant by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) or a similar accrediting body.
• Ability to work collaboratively and maintain effective communication with a diverse team of healthcare professionals.

Compensation and Benefits
