The Class II Water Treatment Operator plays a crucial role in ensuring the safe and efficient treatment of water within a small team of operators. Reporting to the Operations Manager, this role involves operating and maintaining water treatment equipment, managing chemicals, and conducting water quality tests. Operators work primarily regular day shifts but must also be available for on-call and emergency duties, often traveling to various field sites to support operations.

Responsibilities

• Monitor water treatment processes to ensure proper operation
• Operate and maintain water treatment equipment effectively
• Manage chemicals safely according to regulatory standards
• Conduct regular water quality testing and analysis
• Ensure compliance with all water treatment regulations
• Perform system maintenance and troubleshoot issues promptly
• Maintain safety protocols for personnel and operations
• Keep accurate records of treatment activities and results
• Respond to emergencies and support on-call operational needs

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year experience in water treatment operations
• Knowledge of water treatment processes and chemical handling
• Proficient in operating water treatment equipment
• Skilled in water quality testing and analysis
• Understanding of regulatory compliance requirements
• Familiarity with safety procedures in water treatment
• Strong problem-solving skills
• Excellent attention to detail
