Director of Nursing Services

An established skilled nursing and rehabilitation center is seeking a dedicated Director of Nursing (DON/DNS) to provide clinical leadership and oversee the delivery of exceptional resident care. DON Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and oversee all nursing services to ensure the highest level of resident care and clinical excellence.

  • Provide direction, coaching, and support to nursing managers and staff while promoting professional growth and accountability.

  • Develop, implement, and evaluate nursing policies, procedures, and clinical practices to maintain quality outcomes.

  • Coordinate with physicians, department heads, and interdisciplinary team members to support resident-centered care.

  • Maintain compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local regulations, as well as CMS standards and other regulatory requirements.

  • Monitor clinical performance, identify opportunities for improvement, and implement initiatives that enhance quality and resident satisfaction.

  • Assist with staffing oversight, scheduling, departmental budgeting, and efficient allocation of clinical resources.

  • Foster positive relationships with residents, families, physicians, and community partners while representing the organization professionally.

Minimum Requirements (Must Have):

  • Skilled nursing facility (SNF) or long-term care experience.

  • Previous experience as a DON, ADON, Unit Manager, or other nursing leadership role.

  • Working knowledge of CMS regulations, state survey processes, and regulatory compliance.
