The RoleAt Compass Concierge, exceptional service begins with strong, visible leadership. As a District Manager, you will oversee the performance, staffing, training, and client satisfaction of multiple residential properties throughout the Washington, DC Metro Area.You will serve as the primary connection between Compass leadership, property management clients, and onsite concierge teams. This is a highly engaged, field-based leadership role for someone who builds strong relationships, addresses challenges before they escalate, and takes full ownership of service quality across their assigned portfolio.The ideal candidate is an experienced hospitality or customer-service leader who can balance client expectations, employee development, staffing needs, and daily operational priorities. Rooted in service and united by our purpose, we work to create welcoming, professionally managed communities where residents feel cared for and clients feel supported.As a District Manager, you will have the opportunity to shape service delivery across multiple properties, develop frontline teams, strengthen client partnerships, and directly influence the performance and growth of the organization.What You’ll DoServe as the primary point of contact for property management clients across an assigned portfolioBuild strong client relationships through proactive communication, regular check-ins, property visits, and timely resolution of concernsMaintain a consistent field presence and develop a thorough understanding of each property’s operations, expectations, and service needsOversee concierge staff, Scheduling Coordinators, the Quality Service Coordinator, and other assigned operational or training personnelSet clear performance expectations, provide timely feedback, and hold employees accountable for company and client standardsConduct weekly meetings with direct reports and monthly meetings with onsite concierge teamsComplete 30-, 60-, and 90-day evaluations, annual performance reviews, and other formal or informal employee assessmentsConduct onsite training, retraining, and real-time observation of concierge service deliveryMaintain accurate training records and ensure employees receive consistent, property-specific instructionOversee staffing coverage and work closely with scheduling personnel to prevent service gaps across assigned propertiesReview time-off activity, identify attendance or coverage patterns, and support fair and consistent staffing decisionsProvide leadership with clear updates regarding staffing, employee performance, client feedback, training activity, and operational concernsIdentify risks and service issues early, recommend practical solutions, and follow through until concerns are resolvedMaintain a structured weekly plan for property visits, training, client meetings, and operational prioritiesPartner with Human Resources and senior leadership on employee relations, performance management, and workplace concernsStep in to support front desk coverage when necessary while maintaining overall leadership responsibilitiesRepresent Compass Concierge with professionalism, urgency, accountability, and sound judgmentWhat You BringAt least four years of leadership experience in hospitality, customer service, property operations, or a related service-focused environmentExperience managing concierge, front desk, hospitality, residential, hotel, or commercial-service employees strongly preferredExperience overseeing multiple properties, locations, departments, or distributed teamsA demonstrated ability to lead employees, address performance concerns directly, and follow through on expectationsStrong client-management skills and the ability to build trust, manage expectations, and resolve concerns professionallyExcellent verbal and written communication skillsExceptional organization, time management, and attention to detailThe ability to manage competing priorities, deadlines, client needs, and staffing challenges in a fast-paced environmentA proactive approach to identifying problems, creating action plans, and preventing avoidable service disruptionsStrong judgment and the ability to make timely, practical decisions with limited supervisionComfort maintaining a highly visible field presence with employees and clientsProficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, Zoom, and digital scheduling or workforce-management systemsExperience with Paycom, JotForm, or similar platforms is preferredA polished and professional appearance and communication styleReliable transportation and the ability to travel regularly between properties throughout the Washington, DC Metro AreaFlexibility to respond to operational needs during evenings, weekends, holidays, or emergencies when necessarySchedule and Work EnvironmentThis is a full-time, salaried position requiring at least 40 hours per week.
