Purpose:
The Community Table Child waiting Area Attendant (CWA) assists with children whose parents need to shop for their family. This Child Waiting Area room is designed to be child friendly and separate from the adult waiting area/lobby. Children can color, read or be read to, play with toys, etc.
Key Responsibilities for Child Waiting Area:
1. Work with Client Liaison Volunteer in all aspects of front area.
2. Greet parents and introduce yourself.
3. Check children into the room
4. Provide oversight for those children in the waiting room.
5. Engage with children and read books with them.
6. Check them out to their parent/guardian.
7. Maintain the room and keep it cleaned up.
8. Sanitize the room and toys as needed each day.
Time Commitment:
Shifts Vary: Tuesday, Wednesday & Friday- 12p to 3:30p
Thursday – 10:00a-3:30p
Qualifications:
Must be child friendly and caring. Demonstrate compassion and understanding to our clients and their children. Must be able to lift up 25 pounds and be able to bend down and pickup children.
Age Requirement: 18 and above
Dress Code: Casual and comfortable
Background Checks: A Background Check is required for this job.
Training: Shadow/training provided. CWA handbook provided.
Compensation: $20.00 per hour
