Position Overview

Work Environment

This position is remote, offering flexibility while you engage with clients via telehealth platforms or in community settings when needed. You will be part of a dynamic team that values collaboration, innovation, and a shared commitment to improving mental health outcomes for our clients. Our work hours are Monday through Friday, from 8 AM to 5 PM, allowing for a balanced work-life integration.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide clinical assessments and therapeutic services via telehealth and in-person for clients with major mental illnesses or severe emotional disorders, adapting approaches based on individual needs.
  • Work as an integral part of a multidisciplinary team to enhance client outcomes through shared insights and group-based treatment planning.
  • Diverse client interactions will include varying traditions and belief systems; hence, fostering respectful and effective communication is essential.
  • Maintain organizational standards and ethical guidelines while navigating the financial structures of Coastline Health System and relevant external systems.
  • Contribute to the development and revision of care plans and ensure effective transition of care among clients, families, and healthcare providers.
  • Conduct timely and thorough evaluations, screens, and follow-ups, ensuring that appropriate services are provided based on each client's unique presenting issues.
  • Carry a manageable caseload, providing individual, group, and family therapy, while also offering crisis intervention as necessary.
  • Ensure comprehensive documentation, reporting, and data collection aligns with agency standards, completing all required paperwork efficiently.
  • Participate in committees focused on service delivery improvement and quality assurance, contributing your insights based on direct client interactions.
Patient Population / Client Focus

Your clients will primarily consist of individuals from diverse backgrounds experiencing mental health challenges, including but not limited to anxiety, depression, trauma, and substance use disorders. A strong commitment to providing culturally competent care is essential in creating an effective therapeutic environment that honors the unique experiences and needs of each client.

Qualifications
  • A Master’s degree in Social Work (MSW) or a related field is required.
  • Current licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in California is mandatory.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills to articulate treatment plans and collaborate effectively with team members.
  • Proven organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks in a dynamic work environment.
  • Demonstrated competency in dealing with age-related and specialty issues pertaining to mental health clients.
  • Knowledge of crisis intervention techniques and experience with risk assessment is essential.
Preferred Experience
  • A minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in mental health counseling is preferred.
  • Bilingual candidates, particularly those proficient in English and Spanish, will be given special consideration.
Compensation and Benefits

The annual salary range for this position is between $70,000 and $85,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications. In addition to a competitive salary, we offer a comprehensive benefits package, including health, dental, and vision insurance, a 401(k) plan with company matching, paid time off, sick leave, and life insurance. A sign-on bonus is currently available to incentivize new hires.
