Healthy Lifestyles Specialist
THIS IS A REQUIRED DRIVING POSITION

Shift: Monday-Friday 10AM-7PM
The Healthy Lifestyles Specialist is responsible for overseeing all Healthy Lifestyles (Health amp; Wellness and Sports amp; Recreation) programs at their assigned Clubhouse(s). This includes planning, development, reporting, and implementation of these programs in collaboration with the Programs team. The Healthy Lifestyles Specialist also assists with other operational functions of the Clubhouse and may serve as acting Clubhouse supervisor in the absence of the Clubhouse Director and Assistant Clubhouse Director.

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below represent the knowledge, skills, and abilities required. ยท High school diploma or equivalent.

ยท Three years of experience in a Boys amp; Girls Club or similar organization working with youth in a health, wellness, sports, and/or recreation setting.

ยท Working knowledge of Microsoft and/or Google suite of productivity applications (Word, Excel, Forms, Outlook, etc.).

ยท Ability to deal effectively with multi-age groups of children, small groups of children in activities and free play, and large groups of children in organized activities.

ยท Ability to meet deadlines with time constraints and handle multiple demands.

ยท Strong interpersonal and team leadership skills.

ยท Ability to interact professionally with the public, families, Youth Development Professionals, and members.

ยท Demonstrated ability to take responsibility for the safety, well-being, and output of others.

ยท Strong communication skills.

Compensation: $19.00 hourly. Eligible for full-time benefits after the first day of the month following 60 days of employment.

Benefits include Medical, Dental, Vision, Life and Disability Insurance, 401(k), Paid Holidays, Paid Time Off and Employee Assistance Program. Employment with BGCSNV may qualify for Public Service Loan Forgiveness (PSLF).
