The Production Supervisor oversees the daily operations of the meat processing production line, ensuring all activities are conducted efficiently, safely, and in compliance with quality standards. Reporting directly to the Production Manager and working as part of a cross-functional team, this role manages multiple production lines and coordinates daily with the procurement team to maintain optimal inventory levels and support smooth production flow.

Responsibilities

• Supervise, train, and evaluate production staff to ensure adherence to safety and quality guidelines
• Foster a positive work environment and promote teamwork and cooperation among staff
• Oversee daily production operations to meet targets for quantity, quality, and cost
• Coordinate production schedules in partnership with the Production Manager
• Ensure compliance with company policies, food safety standards, and safety regulations
• Manage inventory levels of raw materials and finished goods, coordinating daily with procurement
• Conduct regular safety meetings and training sessions for production staff
• Identify and implement process improvements to boost efficiency and reduce waste
• Maintain accurate records of production activities, including output, downtime, and material usage
• Handle employee grievances and disciplinary actions as needed
• Facilitate team meetings and encourage open communication
• Prepare and submit regular production and incident reports to management
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives with coaching and feedback to staff

Preferred Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in meat processing production
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Proficient in production scheduling and inventory management
• Strong knowledge of quality control and food safety standards
• Demonstrated team leadership and safety training skills
• Experience in continuous improvement and problem-solving
• Effective communication skills
