Job description

Company Description

Cleared Final is a modern flight school management platform built for busy front desks, real-time scheduling, safer operations, and growing aviation businesses.

The platform provides live scheduling with conflict prevention, aircraft and squawk management, maintenance and Airworthiness Directive tracking, role-based access, integrated billing and invoicing, training records, and operational communication tools.

Cleared Final also includes The Hangar, a dedicated community feed where flight schools can share announcements, recognize student achievements, celebrate first solos, and engage their aviation communities.

Founded by former ForeFlight software engineers, Cleared Final replaces fragmented, error-prone legacy systems with a unified, multi-tenant platform that serves as a single source of truth for flight school owners, administrators, dispatchers, instructors, and students. Cleared Final supports both Part 61 and Part 141 flight schools throughout the United States.

Role Description

Cleared Final is seeking a self-motivated Software Sales Representative to help flight schools modernize their operations.

This is a fully remote, commission-only position. There is no base salary, and compensation is earned through successfully closed sales.

The Software Sales Representative will identify prospective customers, qualify opportunities, conduct product demonstrations, and manage the sales process from initial outreach through closing. You will work directly with flight school owners, administrators, chief instructors, and other decision-makers to understand their operational challenges and demonstrate how Cleared Final can address them.

Responsibilities include:

  • Prospecting flight schools and generating qualified sales opportunities
  • Building and maintaining a consistent sales pipeline
  • Conducting virtual product demonstrations
  • Managing the full sales cycle from initial outreach through closing
  • Developing relationships with flight school owners, administrators, and aviation professionals
  • Preparing proposals and communicating pricing and platform value
  • Negotiating agreements and following up with prospective customers
  • Maintaining accurate opportunity and activity records in the company’s CRM
  • Coordinating with product, onboarding, and customer support teams
  • Gathering feedback from prospects and customers to help guide platform improvements
  • Representing Cleared Final within aviation and flight training communities
  • Participating in relevant aviation events, conferences, and industry discussions when appropriate
  • Contributing to sales strategies focused on Part 61 and Part 141 flight schools
Compensation

  • 100% commission-based compensation
  • No base salary
  • Fully remote
  • Earnings are directly tied to successfully closed business

Applicants should be comfortable working in a performance-based sales role before applying.

Qualifications

  • Experience selling SaaS, software, technology, or other business-to-business solutions
  • Demonstrated ability to manage the complete sales cycle
  • Strong prospecting, lead generation, and opportunity qualification skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Confidence presenting software through virtual product demonstrations
  • Strong active-listening, relationship-building, and persuasive communication abilities
  • Ability to independently manage a pipeline and consistently follow up with prospects
  • Experience using CRM software and basic sales reporting tools
  • Ability to prioritize multiple opportunities and remain organized in a fully remote environment
  • Self-directed, accountable, and comfortable working toward measurable sales goals
  • Experience in aviation, flight training, education, or a related industry is beneficial but not required
  • Familiarity with Part 61 or Part 141 flight school operations is a plus
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, aviation management, or a related field is preferred, but equivalent practical sales experience will be considered
Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate is entrepreneurial, persistent, and comfortable building relationships without relying on inbound leads. You understand consultative software sales, communicate clearly with business owners, and can translate operational challenges into practical product solutions.

You do not need to be a pilot or aviation expert, but you should be willing to learn the flight training industry and become knowledgeable about the challenges flight schools face.

What We Offer

  • Fully remote work
  • Uncapped commission-based earning potential
  • Direct access to the founders and product team
  • Product training and education on flight school operations
  • Significant autonomy in prospecting and managing your sales pipeline
  • The opportunity to help shape the sales strategy of a growing aviation software company
  • Potential for expanded responsibilities as the company grows
