Breast Imaging Director - Private Practice In Peoria, Illinois- Generous Sign On Bonus Available

Central Illinois Radiological Associates (CIRA) is currently recruiting an onsite board-certified strategic leader to serve as our Breast Imaging Director in Peoria, Illinois and to serve as Director for a large comprehensive breast center. This position collaborates with a team of board-certified expert breast cancer providers specializing in breast surgery, medical oncology, radiation oncology and other specialty areas providing individualized care. This is a great opportunity to lead and practice quality medicine with a team of dedicated, collegial and supportive breast imagers in a state of the art, high volume setting that has received the Women’s Choice Award based on clinical performance, patient satisfaction and accreditations.

The position is Monday – Friday and participates in a rotational schedule in providing services in a Saturday morning diagnostic clinic. No general radiology call responsibilities. Our enterprise worklist solution provides additional opportunity to collaboratively seek additional breast imaging services throughout CIRA footprint as needed. Additional diagnostic imaging responsibilities are optional and customizable based on the candidate’s experience and interests. As Breast Imaging Director, the candidate is provided with administrative time to fulfill leadership duties. The position utilizes full-field digital mammography with 3D tomosynthesis mammography, dedicated breast ultrasound, on-site breast MRI, and complete breast interventional modalities. The position presents opportunity for faculty appointment supervising and teaching medical students, residents and fellows, including a breast imaging fellowship, for the University of Illinois College of Medicine-Peoria (UICOM-P). In addition, we are looking for candidates who have strong interpersonal and communication skills to cultivate relationships with our hospital partners, clinicians, employees and patients.

The position is based at a large comprehensive outpatient breast center with satellite screening sites, is affiliated with OSF Saint Francis Medical Center, a 649-bed Level I trauma center in Peoria, Illinois and serves as the central Illinois destination breast center, providing excellence in breast care. Additionally, OSF Healthcare opened a truly world-class cancer center, OSF Cancer Institute, that provides personalized, comprehensive and multidisciplinary cancer services while also advancing research and cancer technology capabilities, including proton therapy (one of less than 40 centers in the United States) and a broad spectrum of other state-of-the-art therapies.
