We’re looking for an outgoing, relationship-driven person to help grow our catering business while becoming a familiar face throughout Long Island. If you enjoy meeting new people, building partnerships, and making an impact in your community, we’d love to meet you.
Position Summary
As our Community & Catering Lead, you’ll help grow Chick & Tender by building relationships with local schools, businesses, sports teams, healthcare offices, nonprofits, and community organizations.
This is a boots-on-the-ground role focused on creating new catering opportunities, coordinating community partnerships, and representing the Chick & Tender brand throughout the communities we serve.
Time Allocation
- 75% Catering Sales & Business Development
- 25% Community Engagement & Partnerships
What You’ll Do
Catering Sales
- Visit local businesses, schools, athletic departments, medical offices, and community organizations
- Introduce Chick & Tender catering, boxed lunches, team meals, and fundraising opportunities
- Deliver complimentary sample trays to prospective clients
- Build and maintain a pipeline of new catering opportunities
- Follow up consistently to convert leads into catering bookings
- Prepare catering quotes and coordinate orders
- Build long-term relationships that generate repeat business
- Track leads, sales activity, and customer relationships
Community Engagement
- Coordinate Spirit Nights and fundraising events
- Build partnerships with schools, youth sports organizations, nonprofits, and local businesses
- Represent Chick & Tender at community events
- Help execute local marketing initiatives and in-store promotions
- Strengthen Chick & Tender’s presence throughout the communities we serve
Performance Expectations
Weekly
- 15 in-person business visits
- 5 catering proposals sent
- 2 partnership conversations
- 1 catering sample delivery day
- 8–10 hours working in the restaurant, with additional time in the community as needed
Monthly
- Achieve catering revenue goals established with leadership
- Book at least 3 Spirit Nights or fundraising events
- Add 10 new qualified business contacts
- Execute at least 1 community activation or event
What We’re Looking For
- Friendly, outgoing, and confident personality
- Comfortable introducing yourself to new people and businesses
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
- Organized with strong follow-up habits
- Self-motivated and able to work independently
- Sales-minded with a passion for building new business
- Familiarity with Long Island communities is a plus
- Hospitality, restaurant, catering, event planning, marketing, or outside sales experience is preferred but not required
