Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Technician to join our collision repair team at Chassis Masters in Miramar, FL. In this role, you will perform precision mechanical repairs, advanced diagnostics, and comprehensive system calibrations on Jaguar, Land Rover, and other ultra-premium vehicles — with secondary involvement in vehicle reassembly following body and paint repairs. You will serve as the mechanical and diagnostic backbone of our operation, ensuring every vehicle is returned to flawless, factory-certified condition.

Pay: $24.00–$32.00/hour, flat rate
Hours: Monday through Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM
Key Responsibilities
- Remove, repair, and reinstall mechanical components including suspension assemblies, steering components, subframes, drivetrain elements, and cooling system parts per OEM collision repair procedures
- Operate Hunter Engineering wheel alignment equipment to inspect, measure, and adjust suspension and steering geometry (caster, camber, toe, and thrust angle) following all structural and mechanical repairs, ensuring every vehicle is returned to OEM specifications before delivery
- Conduct pre-repair, in-process, and post-repair diagnostic scans using JLR-approved equipment; read and clear fault codes, analyze live data streams, and flash or reprogram ECUs as required
- Diagnose complex electrical, CAN/LIN data bus, and mechanical anomalies, implementing precise repair strategies in accordance with OEM procedures
- Disconnect, protect, and reconnect high-voltage and low-voltage electrical systems, including hybrid and electric battery systems, and verify all fluid levels post-repair
- Perform ADAS (Advanced Driver-Assistance Systems) calibration and verification, including electronic suspension systems, steering angle sensors, and driver-assistance systems
- Support vehicle Disassembly and reassembly following structural and paint repairs, including fitting mechanical and trim components to manufacturer tolerances
- Verify proper operation of all safety, convenience, infotainment, and driver-assistance systems prior to every vehicle delivery
- Perform thorough pre-delivery inspections (PDI) and road tests to confirm mechanical integrity and electronic performance
- Maintain detailed records of scan reports, calibrations, and quality-control documentation in compliance with JLR Certified Collision Center standards and audit requirements
- Collaborate closely with body technicians, painters, and estimators to meet repair accuracy and cycle-time goals while upholding a clean, safe, luxury-certified work environment
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED preferred; degree in Automotive Systems Technology preferred
- 1–3 years of hands-on experience in automotive assembly, collision repair, or mechanical repair - preferably with European or luxury brands
- ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems) calibration experience preferred
- Working knowledge of vehicle electrical, mechanical, and electronic systems
- Proficiency with OEM or professional-grade diagnostic scan tools and ability to read wiring diagrams and technical documentation
- Exceptional attention to detail and manual dexterity when handling premium materials such as carbon fiber, leather, and polished metals
- Experience with Jaguar, Land Rover, or comparable luxury brands a plus
- Familiarity with OEM certified collision repair program requirements and audit standards a plus
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Ability to stand, bend, kneel, and work in varied positions for extended periods, and lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to safely operate shop equipment and luxury vehicles
- Must be able to pass a background check and drug test, if applicable
